ReelShort and DramaBox lead in revenue, but newcomers like DramaWave have rapidly ascended.
DramaWave's downloads surged over 10x QoQ in Q1 2025, reaching 53 million cumulative downloads and $47 million in revenue by April 2025.
Its success is attributed to localized subtitles, targeted advertising (Unity, TikTok), and a focus on emerging markets where 72% of downloads originate.
The app's MAU climbed to #2 globally in April 2025, trailing only DramaBox.
