In April 2020, the top 10 English-language mental wellness apps generated nearly 10 million downloads, a 24.2% increase from January, as lockdowns began lifting.
Calm led with 3.9 million downloads, up 31% from January.
Headspace and Meditopia followed.
Relax: Master Your Destiny saw a 218x increase.
In the US, top 10 apps had 4 million downloads, up 17.6%, with Calm at 1.6 million.
In Great Britain, downloads rose 2.2% to 803,000.
The pandemic drove demand for meditation apps, but long-term habit formation remains uncertain.
