In June 2021, TikTok was the most downloaded non-gaming app worldwide with over 65 million installs, driven by Douyin in China (13%) and Indonesia (12%).
Facebook ranked second with nearly 52 million installs, led by India (28%) and the US (7%).
Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger completed the top five.
Data from Sensor Tower excludes Apple and Google pre-installed apps, reporting unique installs from App Store and Google Play.
