ARKit-only Apps Surpass 13 Million Downloads in First Six Months, Nearly Half from Games

According to Sensor Tower data, ARKit-only apps on iPhone and iPad have exceeded 13 million downloads since their launch on September 19, 2017.
Downloads are concentrated in Games, Utilities, and Lifestyle categories.
Games now account for 47% of all ARKit-only installs, up from 35% six months ago.
Utilities dropped to 15%, while Lifestyle doubled to 11%.
Top free app AR Dragon from PlaySide Studios leads downloads, while CamToPlan Pro tops paid and grossing charts.
In games, AR Dragon and The Machines remain dominant.
Non-game categories see growth from kid-focused content like LEGO AR Studio.
The analysis excludes apps with limited AR features.
