Updating our ad policies for financial services and products

By Facebook Business·May 8, 2019·2 min read

Facebook announced updates to its advertising policies for blockchain, cryptocurrency, and financial products.
Starting today, pre-approval is no longer required for ads about blockchain technology, industry news, education, or cryptocurrency events.
However, ads promoting cryptocurrency exchanges, mining software/hardware still need prior approval.
From June 5, ads for contracts for difference (CFDs) are banned due to their complexity and potential for misleading users.
Initial coin offerings (ICOs) and binary options remain prohibited.
All ads must comply with existing policies, and landing pages with restricted products still require approval.
