Conversations 2026: Introducing Meta Business Agent

Meta has announced the launch of its Business Agent, an AI-powered tool designed to help businesses respond to customer inquiries instantaneously across WhatsApp, Messenger, and Instagram.
With over one million businesses already using similar AI on WhatsApp and Messenger, the Business Agent aims to provide personalized, round-the-clock customer service in local languages, answering business-specific questions, recommending products from catalogs, booking appointments, qualifying leads, and closing sales.
Businesses can activate the agent for free initially, with paid subscription options rolling out in the coming months.
The agent also assists business operators by providing a morning briefing that summarizes overnight chats and offers insights.
Additionally, Meta is making it easier for customers to discover businesses using the agent through WhatsApp search and contact sharing.
The Meta Business Agent Platform provides infrastructure for customizing and deploying the agent at scale, integrating with systems like Shopify and Zendesk, and offering enterprise-grade controls.
This platform works alongside Meta’s existing Business Platform for WhatsApp, Messenger, and Instagram.
